All About That List




This month’s topic is all about that list. While Meghan Trainor thinks it’s All About That Base, in any business, it’s all about that list of leads.


Many people today think that just doing social media posting is enough. It isn’t. Not only is everyone in your target market not necessarily on social media; they may not be on your specific platforms and, even worse, they probably aren’t seeing your posts.


Facebook is currently only showing organic (unpaid) posts to about 3% of your followers. (If you’re lucky.) You absolutely cannot count on your market seeing your posts. It’s important to keep up with a well-rounded marketing strategy in order to meet your market where they like to receive their information. One of the best ways to do this is your email list.


You own your list. Facebook can put you in jail or your profile could go “poof” in an instant and if that’s your only marketing source you will lose all your contacts. I’ve seen it happen multiple times now.


It’s a simple process to get it going.

  1. Start a list. Do it now. Use a free program like Mailerlite or Mailchimp if you have to.

  2. Grow your list using a lead magnet.

  3. Email your list with a funnel.
