As we close out the year and the hustle and bustle of the holidays gets going, you might be making holiday wish lists and/or plans for next year.
Part of my plan this year was to read or listen (yes, that counts) to a minimum of one business or personal growth book per month. To help motivate me, I have rounded up some ladies for our Book Bites book club on Telegram. (Email info@authorsallies.com to join us.)
Investing a little time in personal development can help in a few ways.
Communication skills improvement
Leadership enhancement
General business knowledge
Updates on industry trends
Boost your creativity
I typically listen to podcasts or business books while working on things like emails, repetitive posting, bookkeeping, cleaning my house, walking, cooking dinner and driving. Even if you have minimum free time, using bits and pieces of your time can allow you to listen to at least one book throughout the month.
These are the books we did in Book Bites this year. [I'm including my Amazon affiliate link for each book if you would like to check them out.] Some are on Kindle Unlimited and, wherever possible, I use my local library. Be sure to check the author's website for any free bonus materials and worksheets to go with the books. I find those to be extremely helpful. In addition, I suggest that if you find a book you really resonate with, consider both an audio and hard copy so you can make notes in the book itself and easily go back and read or listen to a chapter if it resonates with you.
